Notes
Graham Brindley’s work uses a combination of found objects, often linked to the earth, to find an ambiguous place where drawing and installation intersect, inviting the viewer to engage with ideas of connection between the intellect and the primal. Brindley has been pursuing his practice while teaching and fostering an appreciation of art amongst his students. In 2010, his work was exhibited in Substance (Guildford Lane Gallery, Melbourne) and in The Masters Exhibition (Margaret Lawrence Gallery, VCA, Southbank). In 1994, Brindley won The Outback Art Prize (Broken Hill City Art Gallery). His work is held in the Horsham Regional Gallery, the Broken Hill Regional Art Gallery and in private collections throughout Australia, New Zealand, the United States, Europe, Ireland and the United Kingdom.
