- Coralie Armstrong was born in 1946 in New South Wales. She studied Science at University of Sydney and attended evening classes at the Royal Art Society of NSW in 1966, 1967 and 1970 and won a scholarship that included landscape water colour classes with G .K. Townshend. Armstrong was winner of the Princes Fine Art Award in 1996 and was commended in the Doug Moran Portrait competition, 1987. Armstrong has been a member of the Australian Watercolour Institute since 1973 and is a Fellow of the Royal Art Society of NSW and the Royal South Australian Society of Arts.
